TikTok logo history and evolution

The history of the TikTok logo began in 2016, when TikTok’s parent company: ByteDance launched an app called A.me that allowed users to create and share short videos. Three months later, the A.me app was renamed to Douyin (抖音) and its logo was a simple “d” shape that resembled a musical note and two separate words: Tik Tok.

In 2017, ByteDance launched TikTok globally with the word TikTok together and kept the “d” shape symbol.
