The Spotify logo black typeface is a tweaked version of Tobias Frere-Jones’ Gotham. It’s a medium Gotham that’s been tweaked with rounded corners and the designer changed the dot on top of the “i” with a circle instead of a square. Spotify is using Proxima Nova on the site.

They wanted to simplify the typeface and go to something that was sans-serif. From there they just found 10 different fonts that they thought had something interesting in them and went from there.
